Goal Setting - Resolution and Goals

I know everyone of us has goals or some of you have resolutions. Every new year, we set resolutions and some of us may achieve our resolutions and some of us may repeat the same excuse. 'I will do it next year when I am ready' or 'There is no time, I just started a new job' etc, etc. While you may disagree with me, I feel that resolutions are waste of your personal time. In my opinion, resolutions are temporary and at times there are just words printed in your diary.
On the other hand, I want you to look at goals. Goals which are realistic and be really stretching you to achieve it are more meaningful. It is because the results meant more than self-content but the results reaches a new plateau, high success, high fulfillment .
Goals requires intention and mechanisms. If I ask you to give a percentage between these two, what would it be for you? Goal )100% = Intention (? %) + Mechanism (? %). 20% and 80%? 50% and 50%? 10% and 90%? While some may find it odd, it is Goal (100%) = 100% Intention + 0 % Mechanism. It does not mean that you just create an intention and there is no mechanism involve. There is still work to put in to reach your goals. It is your intention that will open up the mechanism that you are looking.
Confused? Let me share your my personal story. I have a vision of making my community healthy, loving and open. When it comes to healthy, it would me that they had attained a holistic health (physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual). For this part, let's focus on the physical aspect. With my end goal in mind, I had numerous supports of me realising my goal. I did not think too much of the mechanism but the doors of opportunities opened miraculously. Friends offered their support on how to improve my Instagram, some wanted to support me to take pictures or video my exercise movements. I am grateful for these supports.
My suggestion to you start creating goals that are meaningful. Give yourself a time span for you to challenge and stretch yourself. Ask for support if you need assistance. No man is an island. Be open to feedback and be happy with the results that are going for you and the ones that does not go your way. Be happy and grateful with your process and progresses you make too
