Body & Mind Moving
As a Physical Education teacher for almost two decades as well as callisthenics Coach, it has been my passion to continuously share my knowledge on physical fitness to my young school students as well as adult trainees. Throughout my career, I had learnt that the decisions I make on my own health at a young age will impact the quality of life as I grow older. I had worked with people from all walks of life including those who is recovering from stroke.
My passion in health and fitness was driven through my personal experiences and lost of friends who are in the mid 40s. As a young boy, I was bullied because of my size and fitness levels. I wanted to play goalkeeper for my hockey team but the Captain said I was not up for it. The lost of my friends who passed away due to heart problems and other diseases led me to support as many people as I can so that their loved ones will not lose them.
Although keeping fit and leading a healthy life should ideally start when you are young, it is even more important to make better lifestyle habit as you enter your 40s. I believe that the decision you make at the this phase will determine your quality of life in your 50s, 60s and so on. The health benefits that you reap is the utmost wealth and will help you lead a better life with family, friends and at work.
